No, this is not an April Fool’s joke. Iranians just celebrated the new year and we’re partying like it’s 1390, because it is. Here’s my NPR interview about the new year:

Also, April is National Poetry Month and NPR’s Tell Me More asked its listeners to write poems on Twitter (140 characters or less). I sent one in and it was rejected. It was about Ahmadinejad. (You’re asking yourself, “What rhymes with Ahmadinejad?” Nothing.
